Albeit small, Singapore is a world on its own. With futuristic cityscapes, gardens of the future and well-preserved pre-industrial areas like Kampong Glam, it is one of the most interesting cities I have visited the past couple of years. But more than beautiful (and extremely clean), Singapore is a Walhalla for foodies! Whether you try a three dollar curry at one of the hawker’s market or sit down at one of their many fine dining experiences, Singapore has something for every traveler.
A futuristic city covered in greenery and filled with mouthwatering food experiences? That can only be Singapore. We spent twenty-four hours there on our way to Indonesia and battled our jetlag through checking out the best sights and finding the best (gluten free) meals. Despite our fatigue we had an amazing day and felt like we got to know the city as well as we could. Are you limited in time, just like us? Then check out my itinerary for one day in Singapore below!
